Our happy clients

I would like to say a big thank you to everyone in your company for fitting my new Bosch Boiler in May. Everyone was so professional. They arrived on time, used plastic covers to save my carpet, answered my questions (even the stupid ones?) and got straight to work. I would highly recommend them.

Frequently asked questions

Why is water temperature so important in dairy farm wash routines?

Water temperature plays a critical role in cleaning efficiency. Industry standards recommend a wash solution starting at 75°C, as every 5°C increase can double wash efficacy. If water is too cold, fats and proteins can re-stick to equipment, reducing hygiene and performance.

What temperature should I aim for during different stages of the cleaning process?

For an effective wash routine, start with a lukewarm pre-rinse (around 35°C to 40°C) to flush out milk residue without baking proteins onto the equipment. Your main hot detergent wash should then start at a minimum of 75°C to 85°C to thoroughly dissolve fats and bacteria. It is crucial that the water temperature does not drop below 40°C by the end of the wash cycle, as this prevents the dissolved fats from redepositing onto your pipes and tanks.

Are electric water heaters suitable for dairy farms?

While traditionally used, electric water heaters usually rely on large storage cylinders that are expensive to keep constantly heated and can easily run out during peak wash times. Switching to an instant LPG system is far more efficient for modern dairy farms. It provides on-demand hot water exactly when you need it, ensuring you never run out, while eliminating the high energy costs associated with keeping a large tank of water hot all day.

How can I reduce energy costs while maintaining wash effectiveness?

The smartest way to cut energy bills without sacrificing hygiene is to eliminate ‘standby heat loss.’ Traditional oil and electric systems waste energy keeping large tanks of water hot 24/7. By upgrading to an instant LPG hot water system, you only pay for the exact amount of hot water you use. You get the immediate, high temperatures (up to 85°C) required for an effective wash, but at a fraction of the running cost.
